The P.S. 6 Center for Film and Television located at 1 Liberty Street in Newburgh, NY will be a full service film and television facility with three soundstages, editing suites, SAG compliant dressing rooms, photography studios, offices, community flex space, 7000SF dedicated off-street parking, and much more. Just as importantly, the P.S. 6 Center will provide public and communal programming through partnerships with BFP Creative Inc. and other local non-profits. In addition to exhibitions, screenings, performances and arts fellowships, these offerings will include a variety of job training and mentorship opportunities.

The P.S. 6 Center will adaptively reuse the historic schoolhouse building which was constructed in 1891 and designed by noted local architect, Frank E. Estabrook. The splendid example of 19th-century design served as an elementary school to the City of Newburgh from 1892 until its permanent closure in 1980. Vacant for 40 years, the structure still retains many of its original details.
